Role Summary
Director, Commercial Performance Analytics & Insights leads strategic partnership with senior stakeholders to drive performance tracking and reporting for commercial performance, including product performance outcomes, executive dashboards, and omnichannel reporting. Responsible for standardizing and centralizing the commercial reporting ecosystem and implementing best practices in performance reporting and insights generation. Works within Global Commercial Analytics to translate data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide thought partnership in building and standardizing the commercial reporting ecosystem
- Serve as strategic partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to organization-wide performance reporting, including executive reporting
- Lead identification of information needs and development of project plans
- Develop and execute creation of in-house datasets to drive patient and HCP (healthcare professional) insights
- Connect reporting insights to tell a compelling story and deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership
- Collaborate with other analytical teams to ensure cohesive activities and advance capabilities
- Lead dialogue to adapt global strategies and standardization of performance metrics and tracking
- Partner with other analytic functions to advance use of novel data sources and reporting (e.g., RWD, Data Science)
- Fluent in English; strong analytical, coding (Python, R, SQL), MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to synthesize inputs and communicate the “story” to commercial leadership
- Subject matter expert in quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies
- Design and management of secondary data analytics; apply innovative techniques to monitor and analyze complex data sets
- Assess vendor capabilities and manage risks in analytic processes
- Prioritize multiple demands, navigate ambiguity, and lead cross-functional projects
- Coach others on connecting analyses to meaningful strategic recommendations for commercial decision making
- Establish trust and credibility with senior leadership as a strategic partner
- Identify and describe data caveats and uncertainties related to business questions and strategic priorities
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, business, or related area
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in a quantitative discipline
- Analytics, statistics and/or database knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to identify issues, trends, and opportunities from data
- Ability to influence without authority, set business direction, priorities, and action plans
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills with cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation

Education
