Role Summary
Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) harnesses the power of data to drive robust analytical insights that inform Pfizer's critical business questions. The role partners with senior stakeholders in the Chief Marketing Office (CMO) and other Pfizer organizations to drive performance tracking and reporting for commercial performance, including product performance reporting, executive dashboards, and omnichannel engagement reporting. It leads standardization of the commercial reporting ecosystem and drives best-practice processes for performance reporting and insights generation. The role operates in a dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, and is part of the Performance Analytics team within Global Commercial Analytics.
Responsibilities
- Provide thought partnership in building and standardizing the commercial reporting ecosystem
- Act as a strategic partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to organization-wide performance reporting, including executive reporting
- Lead identification of information needs and development of project plans to address those needs
- Develop and execute creation of in-house datasets to drive patient and HCP insights into the care infrastructure
- Connect reporting insights to tell a compelling story and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership
Responsibilities
- Alignment with other GCA teams to ensure cohesive activities with stakeholders
- Contribute to advancement of capabilities through thought leadership and knowledge sharing
- Lead dialogue to adapt global strategies and standardize performance metrics and tracking
- Partner with other analytic functions to advance the use of novel data sources and reporting (e.g., RWD, Data Science)
Skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical and coding skills (Python, R, SQL, etc.), MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong reporting and analytical skills to synthesize inputs and communicate the story to commercial leadership
- Subject matter expert in quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies
- Extensive experience in the design and management of secondary data analytics
- Experience with innovative techniques to monitor, simulate, and analyze complex data sets (preferred)
- Ability to assess vendor capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process
- Flexibility to prioritize multiple demands, manage ambiguity, and lead cross-functional projects
- Ability to connect, synthesize analysis into meaningful recommendations to enable commercial decision making
- Ability to establish trust and credibility with senior leadership as a strategic partner
- Ability to identify caveats and uncertainties in data related to business questions and priorities
- Business/Financial acumen
Education
- Bachelorโs degree required
- Masters preferred in a quantitative discipline
Qualifications
- 8+ yearsโ experience in Biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, business, or related area
- Analytics, statistics and/or database knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to identify new issues, trends, and opportunities from data
- Ability to influence without authority, setting business direction and priorities
- Strong analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills with cross-functional teams
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service orientation
