Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial distribution strategy aligned to access and commercial objectives.
- Design and optimize distribution network across specialty distributors, wholesalers (as applicable), 3PL, and specialty pharmacies for oral oncology launches and lifecycle changes.
- Own distribution policies/business rules (eligibility, order limits/allocations, returns, drug replacement).
- Lead daily distribution operations; monitor order-to-cash and resolve issues (onboarding, order approvals, shipping exceptions, inventory constraints, escalations).
- Maintain SOPs/process maps and drive continuous improvement to strengthen service levels, accuracy, and compliance.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Quality on inventory visibility, product release status, recalls, returns, and product integrity.
- Serve as primary relationship manager for 3PL, specialty distributors, and network specialty pharmacies.
- Negotiate/govern distribution service agreements and SOWs; define KPIs/SLAs; lead QBRs and corrective action plans.
- Own customer master data and class-of-trade governance; evaluate/approve new customer requests.
- Ensure compliant distribution operations (DSCSA, 340B, Medicare/Medicaid, company policies).
- Oversee distribution data flows to support analytics; partner with Commercial Ops/IT to integrate/govern channel data and visualize KPIs/SLAs via dashboards/alerts.
- Establish long-term trade/distribution roadmap; build capabilities to support portfolio growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Supply Chain, Finance, Managed Markets, Reimbursement, Patient Services/HUB, IT, Marketing, Sales/Sales Ops); support channel financial processes.
- Lead and mentor team/contractors in a fast-paced startup environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years in trade/channel, distribution, or commercial operations in biopharma; specialty pharmaceuticals experience required; oncology and/or oral oncology preferred.
- Experience building/managing specialty distribution networks (3PL, specialty distributors, specialty pharmacies).
- Strong contract negotiation and partner governance; interpret distribution service-level clauses.
- Working knowledge of U.S. distribution channels and programs (340B, Medicare, Medicaid); partner with Market Access and Patient Services.
- Demonstrated channel performance improvement using metrics/data.
- Technology-savvy; comfortable with Excel/PowerPoint and systems (ERP, WMS/3PL, data aggregators).
- Ability to travel as needed (~25%).
