Clinical Research and Development
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic clinical program leadership as a clinical lead for an ATTR amyloidosis development program.
- Develop creative but realistic drug development approaches and lead clinical efforts to secure global regulatory approvals.
- Oversee trial conduct and safety.
- Provide strategic consultation and guidance to Research for clinical decisions with significant implications.
- Collaborate with Preclinical, Regulatory Affairs, and Medical Affairs to integrate product development plans.
- Accountable for relevant clinical timelines and deliverables across Clinical Research and Operations.
- Supervise major written deliverables (regulatory submissions, original articles, abstracts) and presentation materials.
- Final review/sign-off for controlled documents including protocols, investigator brochures, and informed consent forms.
- Influence internal and external audiences.
Qualifications:
- MD with strong research background or MD/PhD with exceptional clinical and/or research training (evidenced by research support and peer-reviewed publications).
- Board Certification (or equivalent) or specialist training in cardiology.
- Desired: expertise in heart failure and/or amyloidosis.
- 3+ years industry experience or equivalent clinical academic experience.
- Sound scientific/clinical judgment; strong understanding of clinical research, trial design (including biostatistics), and regulatory agency practices.
- Ability to communicate complex medical/clinical concepts in writing and orally.
- Leadership and collaboration in a matrix environment; experience with biotech/pharma partners.
- Thrives in entrepreneurial biotech environment.
Additional:
- Hybrid: 2 days/week onsite in Cambridge, MA or Philadelphia, PA.
Compensation/Benefits:
- U.S. pay range: $255,000.00–$345,000.00; eligible for annual short-term incentive and annual long-term incentive.
