Director, Clinical Operations, Oncology (Remote)

Responsibilities/Goals:
- Lead and direct execution of multiple clinical program(s) within a Therapeutic Area Unit (TAU).
- Provide line management, issue-resolution counsel, and Clinical Operations leadership (under Senior Director, Clinical Operations).
- Ensure overall clinical program execution (quality, budget, timelines).
- Oversee Strategic Partners and other vendors to meet ICH-GCP and business objectives.
- Oversee COPLs representing Clinical Operations across Global Program Team (GPT) and/or CST.
- Escalate/communicate program issues and status to senior management; contribute to issue escalation/awareness.
- Contribute to Clinical Development Plan(s) and operational strategy supporting Asset Strategy.
- Own program budget planning/external spend accuracy with Global Program Management and Finance.
- Lead strategic partner/vendor selection, budgeting, contract negotiation, performance supervision, governance participation, and operational risk management.
- Ensure inspection readiness; guide COPLs/COMs for inspection activities.
- Ensure adequate Clinical Operations resources for assigned program(s).
- Represent/lead cross-functional initiatives; may support business development/in-licensing/alliances operational due diligence.

Qualifications (required/preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree (Life Sciences preferred); advanced degree highly desirable.
- 12+ years pharmaceutical industry experience, incl. 9+ years clinical study management; early phase and Phase 2/3; global/international programs.
- Oncology experience required.
- More than one therapeutic area and line management advantageous.
- Expert in global regulatory/compliance (US CFR, EU CTD, ICH GCP) and local country requirements.

Skills:
- Supervisory experience; strong project/program management and matrix leadership.
- Teamwork, organization, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; fluent business English.
- Ability to influence without authority; entrepreneurial/innovative, pragmatic change leadership, comfort with ambiguity, continual improvement and knowledge sharing.

Benefits/Compensation:
- Base salary range: $177,000–$278,080; may be eligible for incentives and benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, well-being, sick time, paid vacation).
