Director Business Development Search & Evaluation

Role: Lead strategic business development (BD) search and evaluation for Angelini Pharma's global growth, supporting portfolio expansion and partnership opportunities, with a focus on Rare Diseases. Responsibilities: identify and monitor BD prospects through industry engagement and data tools, conduct preliminary evaluations including scientific, clinical, medical, and regulatory assessments, manage due diligence processes, lead competitive intelligence efforts, and develop patient adoption models; collaborate with internal experts and external stakeholders; support transition of opportunities to formal due diligence and contribute to business cases. Requirements: advanced scientific degree (PhD preferred), 5-7 years in pharma/biotech strategy or life sciences, with at least 3 years in due diligence of assets/companies; proficiency with CI databases (AlphaSense, Biomedtracker, Evaluate, etc.), understanding of drug development across phases, and advanced Excel skills; strong communication and organizational skills; experience with AI-enabled tools is a plus. High-Value: focus on rare disease, cross-functional collaboration with R&D, regulatory, medical, commercial, and external partners; experience supporting licensing, acquisitions, and partnerships.
