Role: Hands-on software engineer responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying production-grade AI systems within Pfizer's Medical Affairs AI Acceleration portfolio. Objectives include translating solution architecture and product requirements into reliable AI-enabled platforms that support Medical Affairs activities. Responsibilities encompass full-stack development, integrating Agentic AI and LLM features, verifying AI-generated code, and ensuring data integration with core enterprise systems. The role collaborates with Solution Architecture, Data Integration, Product Management, and UX teams to deliver scalable solutions across prototypes, MVPs, and production environments. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field; 8+ years of software engineering experience with full-stack development, AI/ML integration, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure), and CI/CD practices. Preferred: experience in regulated industries (GxP, HIPAA, GDPR), LLMOps, vector databases, and familiarity with Salesforce Life Sciences/Marketing Cloud. The position reports to the Senior Director, Engineering, and involves hybrid work in the US or Europe, with some travel requirements. This individual contributor role emphasizes technical ownership, rigorous verification, and cross-functional partnership to advance Pfizer’s AI capabilities in medical affairs.
