Director, Automation

Role: Lead global automation engineering for pharmaceutical manufacturing, focusing on reliable, compliant process control systems. Responsibilities: build and lead a virtual community of automation experts, develop standards to enhance system reliability and data integrity, oversee technical support, and manage automation system sourcing and compliance audits. Also responsible for training, innovation, cost reduction initiatives, project delivery KPIs, and talent development. Requirements: B.S. in Engineering; 15+ years in automation engineering, with experience leading large-scale global initiatives or capital projects; 5+ years in team leadership, preferably virtual/global. High-Value: extensive experience with distributed control systems (DCS), SCADA, PLCs, instrumentation; knowledge of data integrity, network security; pharmaceutical/biotech operational best practices; experience supporting regulatory compliance. Work Setup: primarily remote with 20% travel, including global travel; on a pharmaceutical manufacturing platform.
