Position Summary:
- Lead the AI coding ecosystem, managing and scaling agentic workflows/tools for full-time developers, and overseeing a governed platform for secure LLM integration aligned to security and compliance frameworks.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Engineering Enablement and Tool Strategy:
- Own the AI developer stack: manage AI-assisted IDE extensions and evaluate next-generation agentic coding tools.
- Partner with Software Engineering to build workflows for autonomous debugging and refactoring.
- Work with Security to ensure third-party AI tools meet privacy standards and prevent proprietary source code exposure.
- Audit the AI coding landscape to ensure developers have access to effective, safe, modern tools.
Managed Platform and Governance for Technical Teams:
- Design interfaces for rendering applications inside AI assistants with real-time functionality alongside natural-language user input.
- Build/manage a secure governed platform for scientists/data researchers to access LLM APIs (model selection, rate limiting, cost management).
- Partner with Security and Data Governance to mitigate data exposure risks and meet internal privacy standards.
- Establish/enforce standardized coding practices: ensure AI-generated scripts/models are version-controlled and pass required security and application testing.
- Represent the AI Coding Platform on the cross-functional AI governance team to evolve enterprise AI policies.
Knowledge & Skills (Required/Preferred):
- Proven experience designing/implementing AI-driven platforms using LLMs and RAG.
- Prompt engineering, retrieval pipelines, modular AI system design.
- Engineering data workflows (structured/unstructured integration).
- Automated testing/validation frameworks, especially in regulated industries.
- Cloud infrastructure optimization for AI workloads.
- Exceptional problem-solving.
- Preferred: Life Sciences compliance experience; automated document workflows and AI content generation; strong collaboration/communication.
Education & Experience:
- 10+ years in technology leadership focused on AI/ML or technical platform management.
- Track record delivering AI-driven systems, including AI-assisted coding/LLM platforms.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
- Hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and distributed computing.
- Demonstrated production-grade AI/ML deployment in complex, data-intensive environments.
- Strong plus: regulated industry experience (e.g., Life Sciences).
Pay Range:
- $216,400 - $324,600
