Director, Strategy and Portfolio Management
Role summary
- Leads planning, governance, and performance reporting to support Quality & Compliance (Q&C) commitments.
- Shapes executive-ready narratives for business-cycle deliverables (Board updates, Enterprise Quality Reviews, Executive Committee materials).
- Partners with sectors to align Q&C goals, track outcomes vs. enterprise priorities, and improve portfolio management processes, templates, and reporting.
- Advances strategic initiatives (business cases, governance, execution, change management) and serves as Q&C representative on cross-functional programs; coaches project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead creation of Q&C annual business-cycle deliverables (quarterly Board presentations, semi-annual Enterprise Quality Review to Supply Chain Management Committee, annual Executive Committee update), translating Q&C risk/insights/execution into value/impact narratives.
- Develop annual enterprise Q&C goals/objectives; manage quarterly tracking and reporting of progress for goals.
- Provide quarterly reporting of Q&C priority projects and KPIs to Technical Operations & Risk leadership and other forums as required.
- Drive continuous improvement to portfolio management (refine templates, streamline processes, simplify execution).
- Develop/maintain approach to measure value and impact.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize Q&C strategic opportunities; translate into projects with business cases, plans, resourcing, and success measures.
- Lead end-to-end execution of initiatives (workstreams, governance, risk mitigation, change management, communications).
- Serve as Q&C lead on cross-functional initiatives; support additional deliverables as needed.
- Lead project-based teams; mentor/coaching for junior talent.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelorβs degree.
- 10+ years relevant experience with progression.
- Project leadership with track record of timely execution and outcomes via influencing (incl. non-direct reports).
- Excellent communication; ability to synthesize complex info and deliver executive-ready materials.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; strong data visualization/presentation.
Preferred:
- Management consulting (or investment banking) experience.
- Advanced degree (Economics/Finance/Engineering/Sciences/CS/Technology or related).
- Financial/analytical modeling, scenario/sensitivity analysis; digital/analytics/AI enablement.
- Experience with senior VP+ leadership at large corporations.
- Independent, detail-oriented execution in ambiguous environments; strong collaboration/learning mindset.
