Role Summary
Digital Specialty Account Manager (DSAM) to execute commercial activities for assigned geographies, establish relationships with customers, and ensure a successful launch of Axsome’s current and future product pipeline. This role is virtual-based, covers the Eastern Time Zones, and requires engaging customers through digital channels. The DSAM will be a disease category expert and product champion, provide account management support, and analyze the local landscape to assess stakeholders and marketplace trends. Reports to the Digital Regional Business Director.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers virtually through digital channels
- Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual goals
- Promote Axsome products within approved labeling in a compliant, ethical manner
- Develop strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs
- Serve as a resource regarding payer policies and processes (eligibility, benefit verification, prior-authorization, appeals/denials)
- Maximize use of marketing resources to grow customer confidence to prescribe Axsome medications
- Communicate territory activity accurately and timely as directed by management
- Provide feedback to sales, leadership, marketing, and internal departments on changes and results
- Complete all training classes
- Complete administrative duties accurately and timely
- Manage efforts within the promotional budget
- Collaborate across all corporate functions
- Ensure timely access for patients through patient services and savings programs
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 2 years of field or virtual customer experience and/or account management or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a quota/goal-driven environment
- Ability to master and communicate technical specifications
- Pharmaceutical/biotech/medical marketing or sales experience is preferred but not required
- Experience strategizing within cross-functional teams to achieve business goals
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under tight timelines
- Comfort with uncertainty and high expectations
- Patient support services experience a plus
- Strong digital marketing aptitude
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
