Role Summary
The Digital Communications Specialist is a key member of Immunocore’s Communications team, developing and implementing projects and campaigns that enhance the company’s digital presence and visibility.
The role holder will lead the development of content across websites, social media, internal channels and other digital platforms, including by designing graphical, audio and video assets.
Daily interaction with colleagues and team members is a key aspect of the role. Continuous professional development is essential to maintain a solid level of subject matter knowledge. The incumbent will work on problems of moderate scope that are both varied and routine.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, enhance and create content for the company’s digital channels and output, including the corporate website, intranet and social media platforms.
- Work closely with the rest of the Communications team and content experts to develop content for the company’s external and internal digital channels.
- Design paid social media campaigns, and make recommendations for improvements to content and channels.
- Continually assess the company’s digital and visual footprint, and lead development of new assets.
- Function as the Communications team’s primary designer, developing social media cards, presentations, corporate materials (e.g. annual report) and more.
- Input into large-scale creative projects carried out with external partners and agencies.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the company and colleagues.
- Create logos and thematic material (banners etc.) for campaigns, programmes and other initiatives.
- Generate, propose and implement ideas for rich media content, e.g. animations, illustrations or gamification.
- Liaise with printers and other suppliers where relevant.
Qualifications
- Required: Educated to degree-level in digital communications, marketing, graphic design or an associated subject.
- Preferred: Knowledge of HTML and web design.
- Preferred: Experience of SharePoint intranet management and other platforms in the Microsoft suite.
- Preferred: Video, audio and static image editing.
- Preferred: PowerPoint design.
- Preferred: Knowledge of digital healthcare landscape and social media platforms.
- Preferred: Project management experience and comfort with vendor management.
- Preferred: Familiar with working in a mid-sized (c. 500 employees) company, particularly in biotechnology or scientific research sectors.
- Required: 2 to 5 years of digital communications or associated work.
