Diagnostics Solutions Consultant

Location: Can reside in New Hampshire, Maine or Vermont
Role Responsibilities:
- Sell Zoetis diagnostic instruments, tests, and associated products/services in an assigned US territory.
- Build and maintain customer relationships to maximize retention and achieve sales quotas.
- Update and maintain sales funnel and customer profile data in the system.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of diagnostic products and services.
- Travel within the territory (up to 60β70%); drive extensive routes and make periodic overnight trips (approx. 4β8 nights/month).
- Visit existing and prospective customers (target 3β4 existing customers and 3β4 new opportunities per day).
- Transport, lift, set up, and demonstrate diagnostic solutions/equipment.
- Document all customer/prospect interactions via the online system.
- Explain uses/benefits and communicate the value proposition; answer questions.
- Secure purchase orders.
- Provide ongoing customer support (in person, phone, and email), make courtesy calls, and coordinate with sales, accounting, and technical staff.
- Work with Diagnostic Technical Specialists to enhance utilization and customer service.
- Generate new business/leads (including placing instruments with competitors, academia/research) and gather referrals.
- Support billing and collection efforts.
- Safely lift and move 60 lbs.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability Requirements:
- Rapid learning; absorb/apply technical information; technical sales capability.
- Expertise in veterinary terminology/science.
- Presentations at all levels (including financial presentations); quick equipment setup/demos.
- Balances strategic and tactical needs; understands market/sales trends and competition.
- Organizational, prioritization, and time management; multitasking and independent work.
- Valid driverβs license, clean driving record, and auto insurance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years demonstrated sales experience, or relevant technical/clinical experience (medical/scientific/healthcare preferred).
- Minimum Associate degree (Bachelorβs preferred); science or business emphasis preferred.
Compensation/Benefits (if applicable):
- Base salary range: $69,000β$100,000; eligible for short-term incentive compensation.
- Benefits include healthcare/insurance beginning on day one, 401K with match and profit-sharing, and 4 weeks of vacation.
