Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist with strong software engineering skills for the Biometrics and Data Management group. You will advance the current platform and develop novel, scalable data science tools to support evolving business needs, working with clinical scientists, biostatisticians, data managers, statistical programmers, and other stakeholders to design, implement, and deploy robust data-driven solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Enhance existing platforms through development, validation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Develop and validate data science tools for clinical research and trial optimization.
- Ensure scalability, maintainability, and reliability using software engineering best practices (testing, documentation, CI/CD).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of data science experience (8 years with a Master’s; 4 years with a Ph.D.), including at least 3 years developing production-grade software in Python or R.
- Understanding of software architecture, performance optimization, and validation.
- Strong expertise in machine learning/deep learning (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (ggplot2, Plotly, Matplotlib, or Seaborn).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced with Git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant field.
- Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure and Docker (or containerization).
- Experience building LLM/GenAI solutions in production.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
Travel Required: Connection week
Compensation and Benefits (as stated)
- Anticipated base pay range: $148K-$182K; plus annual performance incentive bonus, new hire equity, and performance-based equity.
