Responsibilities:
- Define and evaluate security architecture for end-user devices (workstation/laptop hardening, EDR/endpoint protection like CrowdStrike/Defender, data protection, configuration baselines).
- Advise on mobility security (MDM/UEM such as Microsoft Intune, mobile app management, conditional access, BYOD posture for iOS/Android).
- Perform Security Architecture Reviews; align risks/controls with system owners and ensure review quality.
- Deliver security architecture consulting end to end with business partners (clear communication, timely turnaround).
- Provide risk evidence review with Risk Management.
- Plan, design, build, implement enterprise security architecture and associated documentation.
- Evaluate security technologies/controls (including third-party) and adapt to business needs, risk, and threat landscape.
- Identify emerging security threats/risks and propose mitigations.
- Balance security needs with business needs; incorporate AI to accelerate design reviews, threat modeling, documentation, and analysis.
- Create reusable security-architecture artifacts; address root causes in problems, processes, and people; mentor others as needed.
Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s + 8 yrs OR Master’s + 7 yrs OR PhD + 3 yrs; demonstrated security controls proficiency; knowledge of NIST/CIS/OWASP/CSA; advanced OS/networking/systems admin/security tech; cyber threat/attack vector understanding; risk management integration; adaptability; AI fluency; critical thinking/problem solving; strong communication; independent/team ability; availability for critical security issues.
- Tool skills: EDR/EPP/data protection/config baseline; MDM/UEM (Intune), app management, conditional access; OS/networking/admin, cloud (AWS/Azure); security frameworks/threat landscape; AI-assisted workflows; ServiceNow ITSM, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365/SharePoint.
Preferred:
- CISSP or SANS/GIAC (highly desirable).
