Cyber Defense Operations Lead

Role: Lead Cyber Defense Operations to enhance and mature the cybersecurity function within 3M, focusing on strategy execution, security monitoring, incident response, detection engineering, platform operations, and MSSP oversight. Responsibilities: establish operational frameworks, oversee monitoring and incident response, develop a 2-year modernization roadmap emphasizing automation and data-driven capabilities, and coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, cloud, legal, and security partners. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field; 15+ years of cybersecurity experience in private, public, government, or military sectors. Preferred skills: management experience in security operations, expertise with SIEM, SOAR, cloud security telemetry (AWS, GCP, Azure), automation, AI in security, and MSSP/vendor management. High-Value: senior leadership in cyber defense, strategic planning, cloud security, automation, incident response, and cross-functional collaboration. Location: Austin, TX; onsite role with relocation support; US work authorization required.
