Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Customer Representatives to deliver strong sales performance by identifying and addressing customer needs.
- Provide coaching and guidance to Customer Representatives to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
- Oversee training programs and manage people-related processes for the customer team, ensuring continuous development and optimal resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing customer team aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Travel at least 15% of the time to support team and customer engagement activities (overnight stays may occasionally be required).
Qualifications and Attributes
- Proven ability to cultivate a high-performing, motivated sales team culture (preferably Cardiovascular therapeutic area).
- Strong leadership through change using situational coaching and emotional intelligence; growth mindset and agility; foster trust and openness.
- Navigate ambiguity with clear communication to adapt customer engagement models (Cardiovascular market and beyond).
- Customer-focused mindset; actively listen to understand objectives and build meaningful relationships.
- Expertise in account planning and management; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience building relationships with key accounts/customers in the Cardiovascular sector.
- Solid understanding of Rx Pathways (provider prescription processes, EHR, pharmacies, benefit design, prior authorization).
- Coaching skills for Managed Care environments; partner with IDNs and Account Management teams.
- Track record leading product launch teams in competitive markets.
- Proficient in business analytics/technology to generate insights, develop strategies, and execute plans.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelorโs degree (BA/BS) and at least 5 yearsโ experience in Sales, Marketing, or Managed Care within the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Valid driverโs license.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- MBA or MS in Science, Business, or Healthcare.
- At least 3 years working with key thought leaders or influential customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care.
- Field Sales Management experience; managed/coached/inspired successful sales teams (preferably Cardiovascular).
- Analytical mindset; coach teams to leverage tools/technology for customer insights.
- Experience selling/leading in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Medical Device industries.
- Skilled at establishing and maintaining relationships/networks within customer organizations.
