Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Customer Representatives to deliver strong sales performance by identifying and addressing customer needs.
- Provide coaching and guidance to Customer Representatives to enhance skills and effectiveness.
- Oversee training programs and manage people-related processes to ensure continuous development and optimal resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing customer team aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Travel at least 15% of the time to support team and customer engagement activities (overnights may be required).
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Proven ability to cultivate a high-performing, motivated sales team culture (preferably Cardiovascular therapeutic area).
- Strong leadership using situational coaching and emotional intelligence; growth mindset and agility; fosters trust during transition.
- Navigate ambiguity with clear communication; adapt customer engagement models within the Cardiovascular market.
- Customer-focused mindset: listens to understand objectives and builds relationships across the organization.
- Expertise in account planning and management; collaborates cross-functionally.
- Experience building relationships with key accounts/customers in the Cardiovascular sector.
- Solid understanding of Rx Pathways (provider prescription processes, EHRs, pharmacies, benefit design, prior authorization).
- Coach sales professionals in Managed Care environments and partner with IDN and Account Management teams.
- Track record leading product launch teams in competitive markets.
- Proficient in leveraging business analytics/technology to develop strategies and coach teams to use these tools.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and at least 5 years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, or Managed Care within the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- MBA or MS in Science, Business, or Healthcare.
- At least 3 years working with key thought leaders/influential customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations.
- Field Sales Management experience managing/coaching/inspiring sales teams (preferably Cardiovascular).
- Analytical mindset using tools/technology to gather insights and enhance sales impact.
- Experience selling and leading teams in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Medical Device industries.
