Customer Team Leader (CTL) โ Field-based sales management role responsible for the New Orleans district (New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles, and Metairie).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Customer Representatives to deliver strong sales performance by identifying and addressing customer needs.
- Coach and guide Customer Representatives to improve skills and effectiveness.
- Oversee training programs and manage people-related processes for the customer team to ensure continuous development and optimal resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing customer team aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Travel at least 15% of the time to support team and customer engagement activities (occasional overnight stays).
Qualifications and Attributes
- Ability to build a high-performing sales team culture (preferably Cardiovascular therapeutic area).
- Strong leadership using situational coaching and emotional intelligence; growth mindset, agility, and trust.
- Navigate ambiguity; communicate clearly to adapt customer engagement models in Cardiovascular and beyond.
- Customer-focused listening; build meaningful relationships.
- Account planning/management; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience building relationships with key accounts/customers in the Cardiovascular sector.
- Solid understanding of Rx Pathways (providers, EHR, pharmacies, benefit design, prior authorization).
- Coaching experience in Managed Care environments; partner with IDN and Account Management teams.
- Track record leading successful product launch teams.
- Use business analytics/technology to generate insights and execute plans.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelorโs (BA/BS) and at least 5 yearsโ experience in Sales, Marketing, or Managed Care within the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Valid driverโs license.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- MBA or MS (Science/Business/Healthcare).
- 3+ years working with key thought leaders/influential customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care.
- Field Sales Management experience; Cardiovascular sales team leadership.
- Strong analytical mindset.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Medical Device industries.
- Ability to establish and maintain customer relationship networks.
