Customer Team Leader (CTL)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Customer Representatives to deliver strong sales performance by identifying and addressing customer needs.
- Coach and guide Customer Representatives to improve skills and effectiveness.
- Oversee training programs and manage people-related processes for the customer team (development and resource allocation).
- Develop and maintain a high-performing customer team aligned to organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Travel at least 15% of the time to support team and customer engagement (may occasionally require overnight stays).
Qualifications and Attributes
- Proven ability to build a high-performing, motivated sales team culture (preferably Cardiovascular therapeutic area).
- Strong leadership through situational coaching and emotional intelligence; growth mindset and ability to foster trust during transition.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and communicate clearly to adapt customer engagement models.
- Customer-focused mindset; relationship building through active listening.
- Expertise in account planning and management; cross-functional collaboration.
- Rx Pathways knowledge (providers, EHR, pharmacies, benefit design, prior authorization).
- Experience coaching sales professionals for Managed Care and partnerships with IDN/Account Management teams.
- Track record leading successful product launch teams in competitive markets.
- Use business analytics/technology to generate insights and coach execution.
Required Skills/Experience
- BS/BA degree and 5+ years in Sales, Marketing, or Managed Care within the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- MBA or MS; 3+ years with thought leaders/influential customers in hospitals/managed care.
- Field Sales Management experience (preferably Cardiovascular).
