Customer Team Leader (CTL) β field-based sales management for the East Pennsylvania district (Reading, York, Harrisburg, Allentown, Lancaster).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Customer Representatives to deliver strong sales performance by identifying and addressing customer needs.
- Provide coaching and guidance to improve team skills and effectiveness.
- Oversee training programs and manage people-related processes to ensure continuous development and optimal resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing customer team aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Travel at least 15% of the time to support team and customer engagement activities (occasionally overnight; details discussed in interview).
Qualifications and Attributes
- Proven ability to build a high-performing, motivated sales team culture (preferably Cardiovascular therapeutic area).
- Lead teams through change using situational coaching and emotional intelligence; growth mindset and agility.
- Navigate ambiguity and communicate clearly to adapt customer engagement models.
- Customer-focused: actively listen to understand objectives and foster relationships.
- Account planning/management experience and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Relationship experience with key accounts/customers in the Cardiovascular sector.
- Solid understanding of Rx Pathways (providers, EHR, pharmacies, benefit design, prior authorization).
- Coach sales professionals for Managed Care; partner with IDNs and Account Management.
- Track record leading product launch teams in competitive markets.
- Use business analytics/technology to generate insights and coach execution.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelorβs (BA/BS) plus 5+ years in Sales, Marketing, or Managed Care within the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Valid driverβs license.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- MBA or MS (Science/Business/Healthcare).
- 3+ years working with thought leaders/influential customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care.
- Field Sales Management experience; cardiovascular-focused sales team leadership.
- Strong analytical mindset and coaching experience leveraging tools/technology.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Medical Device industries.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships and networks within customer organizations.
Required/Preferred Skills (high-level)
- Account planning/management, analytics/BI, Managed Care, EHR, people leadership, sales performance coaching, customer engagement, market analysis, forecasting, decision-making.
