Customer Team Leader (CTL) โ field-based sales management covering the Alabama district (Birmingham, Mobile, Montgomery, Tuscaloosa) and Pensacola, Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Customer Representatives to deliver strong sales performance by identifying and addressing customer needs.
- Provide coaching and guidance to Customer Representatives.
- Oversee training programs and manage people-related processes to support continuous development and optimal resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing customer team aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Travel at least 15% of the time (overnights may occasionally be required).
Qualifications and Attributes
- Proven ability to build a high-performing, motivated sales team culture (preferably Cardiovascular therapeutic area).
- Demonstrated leadership using situational coaching and emotional intelligence; growth mindset and agility.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and communicate clearly to adapt customer engagement models (Cardiovascular and beyond).
- Customer-focused mindset; strong listening and relationship-building.
- Account planning/management experience and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience building relationships with key accounts/customers in Cardiovascular.
- Solid understanding of Rx Pathways (prescription processes, EHR, pharmacies, benefit design, prior authorization).
- Coaching experience in Managed Care environments; partnering with IDNs and Account Management teams.
- Track record leading product launch teams in competitive markets.
- Ability to use business analytics/technology to generate insights and coach teams to use these tools.
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelorโs degree (BA/BS) and minimum 5 yearsโ experience in Sales, Marketing, or Managed Care within the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Valid driverโs license.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Advanced degree (MBA or MS in Science/Business/Healthcare).
- 3+ years working with key thought leaders/influential customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care.
- Field Sales Management experience; Cardiovascular focus.
- Experience selling in Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Medical Device industries.
