Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Customer Representatives to deliver strong sales performance by accurately identifying and addressing customer needs.
- Provide coaching and guidance to Customer Representatives to enhance skills and effectiveness.
- Oversee training programs and manage people-related processes for the customer team to support continuous development and optimal resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing customer team aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Travel at least 15% of the time to support team and customer engagement activities (may require occasional overnight stays; specifics discussed in interview).
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Proven ability to cultivate a high-performing, motivated sales team culture (preferably Cardiovascular therapeutic area).
- Strong leadership using situational coaching and emotional intelligence; growth mindset and trust-building during transition.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and communicate clearly to adapt customer engagement models.
- Customer-focused mindset; actively listen to understand customer objectives and build relationships.
- Expertise in account planning and management; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience building/maintaining key account relationships in the Cardiovascular sector.
- Solid understanding of Rx Pathways (prescription processes, EHR, pharmacies, benefit design, prior authorization).
- Coach sales professionals for Managed Care environments; partner with IDNs and Account Management teams.
- Track record leading successful product launch teams in competitive markets.
- Proficient in using business analytics/technology to generate insights and execute strategies.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelorโs degree (BA/BS) and minimum 5 yearsโ experience in Sales, Marketing, or Managed Care within the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Valid driverโs license.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- MBA or MS (Science, Business, or Healthcare).
- 3+ years working with key thought leaders/influential customers (large group practices, hospitals, or managed care).
- Field Sales Management experience (preferably Cardiovascular) and proven sales team leadership.
- Strong analytics background; experience leveraging tools/tech for customer insights.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Medical Device industries.
- Ability to establish/maintain customer networks.
