Corporate Functions
Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate high-stakes agreements for anticipated product launches, including complex commercial contracts with gene therapy treatment centers, channel partners, and manufacturers.
- Assist with legal review of pre-commercial activities (e.g., advisory boards, patient engagement events, patient support programs, market access activities, speaker programs, and market research).
- Provide legal support to promotional material review committees.
- Provide ongoing contracting support and lifecycle management, including agreement interpretation and risk analysis, for commercial, medical affairs, manufacturing, and other teams.
- Collaborate with business teams and subject matter experts to continuously review and update contracting playbooks and standards.
- Draft and negotiate other key agreements, including clinical trial agreements, material transfer agreements, sponsored research agreements, service provider agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school; admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of complex biotechnology contracting experience, ideally with commercial-stage cell and gene therapy companies.
- Ability to manage multiple overlapping high-stakes agreements to completion on tight timelines.
- Flexible and collaborative; strong ethics and integrity.
- Sound judgment; ability to quickly analyze information.
- Practical, business-minded approach to urgent matters with timely, pragmatic solutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Expected to come onsite 2 days per week.
Additive Qualifications:
- Experience advising medical affairs and commercial teams on legal/regulatory requirements for product launches.
- Ability to advise on health care laws (e.g., anti-kickback, false claims, transparency statutes).
- Experience serving on promotional material review committees for pre-commercial or commercial biotechnology companies.
