Corporate Affairs, Manager - Obesity and Related Conditions

Responsibilities:
- Support development and implementation of integrated communications strategies for the Obesity and Related Conditions team by effectively engaging internal and external audiences.
- Manage multiple ongoing communications initiatives, including overseeing the material review process.
- Support internal communications and engagement initiatives (town halls, onsite events, executive memos).
- Oversee development of creative and multimedia content for internal, web, and social channels; manage review and distribution.
- Lead development and distribution of internal communications and thought leadership content.
- Collaborate with enterprise communications team and agency partners on priority employee and external communications (Amgen.com and social media content).
- Lead metrics reporting for key external and internal communications initiatives.
- Monitor integrated communications and social media trends to share insights and identify opportunities.
- Conduct research and manage tactical execution for priority initiatives (key data milestones, medical meetings, DSE initiatives).
- Support budget planning and management with vendors.

Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree + 4 years OR Master’s degree + 7 years OR Bachelor’s degree + 9 years in public relations and/or communications.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in PR/communications/journalism (or related) or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- PR/communications experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical/healthcare (in-house or agency).
- Strong writing, editing, communications, and presentation skills; attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Advanced social media strategy/content writing and visual asset ideation.
- Experience with monitoring/analytics tools and insights reporting.
- Self-starter/team player with strong interpersonal skills; ability to think quickly, analytically, and creatively.
- Experience managing PR agency partners and vendor relationships.
- Professional interfacing with cross-functional teams, corporate leaders, and external stakeholders.
