Role: Serve as Reimbursement Liaison for ophthalmic devices, focusing on patient access, payer policies, and provider education. Responsibilities: educate HCPs and staff on benefit verification, prior authorization, coding, and billing; assist in overcoming access barriers; monitor reimbursement trends; manage communications; and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards related to healthcare reimbursement. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (MBA or MPH preferred); 8+ years in specialty pharmaceuticals or surgical devices; minimum 3 years in reimbursement or healthcare policy; experience with specialty pharmacy, medical device reimbursement (Category III CPT/J-codes), and payers including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans. Preferred: eyecare background, sales or field reimbursement experience, and knowledge of physician-administered injectables. High-Value: ophthalmic (corneal) devices, patient support programs, specialty pharmacy, buy & bill processes, and complex authorization procedures. WorkSetup: travel up to 50% for territory coverage, training, and meetings.
