Responsibilities:
- Coordinate laboratory and storeroom operations supporting tissue-based regenerative medicine product research for pulmonary hypertension and other lung diseases.
- Perform daily parts washer runs; hand wash dishes and prepare surgical pans, instruments, and supplies for sterilization.
- Maintain laboratory log sheets for parts washer and autoclave usage, including weekly biological monitoring results.
- Assist with equipment installations/relocations, asset tagging, and periodic inventory reviews.
- Monitor and restock laboratory supplies and chemicals; ensure FIFO cycling; track expiration dates.
- Prepare buffer solutions, tubing sets, and cleaning solutions (e.g., ethanol, LpH, Vesphene).
- Collect/package/transport biohazardous, chemical, and recyclable waste; replenish waste containers and supplies.
- Transport soiled linens, deliver clean linens to gowning areas, and organize linen storage.
- Conduct monthly eyewash and safety shower flushes; maintain laboratory 5S organization.
- Coordinate cleaning schedules for refrigerators/freezers and assist with disposal/organization.
- Prepare laboratory signage and distribute lab-wide communications.
- Receive/unpack/store incoming laboratory equipment and supplies; notify staff.
- Update master supply list (min/max, vendor reorder info), remove obsolete items, and run inventory tracking reports.
- Maintain Kanban cards and perform routine cycle counts.
- Prepare/ship samples, supplies, and equipment to external vendors and collaborators.
- Receive weekly dry ice and compressed gases; transport pallets, break down packaging, maintain housekeeping.
- May handle human tissue/cells/materials contacting human cells; follow safety procedures/universal precautions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma or GED; 1+ years related industry experience (or 0+ years with an Associate degree).
- Word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and standard software experience.
- Strong collaboration/teamwork; excellent written and oral communication (English required).
- Ability to initiate/manage day-to-day tasks with limited supervision.
- Self-motivated; strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
- Ability to independently follow standard protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a scientific discipline.
