Role Summary

Companion Animal Territory Representative (Buffalo, NY) is responsible for working in their territory to identify veterinary clinic, shelter facility, and corporate account customer needs by selling the Animal Health Companion Animal product portfolio, supporting pull-through activities, and ensuring the Animal Health division is viewed as bringing value and technical innovations aligned to The Science of Healthier Animals. This role covers the Buffalo, NY territory and requires residence within the covered territory.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates about the Animal Health product portfolio in a meaningful, customer-specific way; tailors discussions based on customer needs.
  • Primary contact for assigned customers; meets with key personnel to understand practice structure, business model, influencers, needs, and opportunities.
  • Develops customer strategy outlining interactions, solutions, partner involvement, and offerings to drive sales opportunities and account growth of Animal Health products and services.
  • Develops territory and account plans for key customers; partners with National Account Managers, Corporate Account Team, and Distribution Field Partners to focus on key accounts and corporate clinics to drive sales growth.
  • Collaborates to foster a One Company approach and enhance knowledge of the entire Animal Health portfolio.
  • Shares knowledge with regional team members to support growth and development.
  • Analyzes monthly sales results and manages expenses within budget guidelines.
  • Identifies programs/services to address customer needs and provide education and training opportunities.
  • Works with leadership and Field Professional Services to develop relevant offerings addressing customer needs.
  • Develops understanding of Animal Health products, industry trends, and competitor landscape; communicates trends within the organization.
  • Develops and meets learning and development objectives with leadership.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience (sales, distribution, marketing, military, or veterinary/healthcare/scientific field).
  • Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s Degree with sales experience preferred.
