Companion Animal Professional Services Veterinarian (Tri-State)

Responsibilities:
- Function as an integral member of the Regional Leadership Team supporting territory managers by demonstrating and conveying the value and benefits of the Animal Health portfolio through technical lectures on the product line to key customers, strategic accounts, and professional veterinary organizations.
- Offer solutions aligned with customer needs and business priorities.
- Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to develop and execute effective business strategy to reach and exceed regional and organizational priorities.
- Meet with key opinion leaders in clinical and university settings to discuss the Animal Health portfolio and potential new business opportunities.
- Represent the Animal Health portfolio at veterinary schools, veterinary associations, and conferences.
- Serve as the regionβs technical expert: evaluate regional and individual technical training needs and coach sales representatives in technical selling skills.
- Collaborate with R&D, Learning and Development, Marketing, Veterinary Insights & Medical Affairs, and Sales to achieve organizational priorities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree.
- Required Experience/Skills: 10 years combined relevant experience (minimum 5 years in clinical companion animal veterinary practice and minimum 5 years in the animal health industry or equivalent leadership/management experience).
- Ability to translate complex issues into easily comprehensible content for respective audiences.
- Excellent presentation/facilitation skills; excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Serve as a medical consultant in vaccines, parasiticides, and therapeutics.
- Ability to influence without direct authority; build strong internal and industry networks.
- Bring innovative solutions for internal and customer challenges.
- Competency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Competency in relevant industry software (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva, Power BI).
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams (internal and external).
- Ability to execute core Professional Services Veterinarian responsibilities independently.
- Strong understanding of veterinary customer business processes and ability to discuss how the Animal Health portfolio improves medical capabilities and profitability.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience with companion animal vaccines, parasiticides, and therapeutics.
- Applicable advanced degrees and research experience.
- Delivery of training/instruction within a structured organization.
- Leadership and/or management experience.

Compensation/Benefits (if applicable in posting):
- Salary range: $142,400.00 - $224,100.00.
- Eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive (if applicable).
