Patient Advocacy
Responsibilities:
- Function as an integral member of the Regional Leadership Team supporting territory managers by demonstrating and conveying the value and benefits of the Animal Health portfolio through:
- Preparing and delivering technical lectures on the product line to key customers, strategic accounts, and professional veterinary organizations
- Offering solutions aligned with customer needs and business priorities
- Partnering with the Regional Sales Manager to develop and execute business strategy to reach and exceed regional and organizational priorities
- Meeting with key opinion leaders in clinical and university settings to discuss the Animal Health portfolio and potential new business opportunities
- Representing the Animal Health organization at veterinary schools, veterinary associations, and conferences
- Serving as the region’s technical expert by evaluating technical training needs of sales representatives and coaching on technical selling skills
- Collaborating with R&D, Learning and Development, Marketing, Veterinary Insights & Medical Affairs, and Sales to achieve organizational priorities

Qualifications:
- Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree
- Experience/Skills (Required):
- 10 years combined relevant experience: at least 5 years in clinical companion animal veterinary practice and at least 5 years in the animal health industry or equivalent leadership and/or management experience
- Ability to translate complex issues into easily comprehensible content for relevant audiences
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal customers and hospital decision makers
- Medical consultant capability in vaccines, parasiticides, and therapeutics
- Ability to influence without direct authority
- Ability to build strong networks internally and with industry partners
- Ability to bring innovative solutions to internal and customer challenges
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Proficiency in industry-relevant software (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva, Power BI)
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams (internal and external)
- Ability to execute core Professional Services Veterinarian responsibilities independently
- Strong understanding of veterinary customer business processes; ability to discuss using the Animal Health portfolio to improve medical capabilities and profitability
- Experience/Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with companion animal vaccines, parasiticides, and therapeutics
- Advanced degrees and research experience
- Delivery of training/instruction within a structured organization
- Leadership and/or management experience
