Role Summary
Community Engagement Account Manager for the Denver (West) area. The role requires thriving in a fast-paced, complex environment, working within the local community to drive performance for a launch brand, and partnering cross-functionally to achieve strategic objectives and outcomes aligned with the mission to leave no person with HIV behind.
Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and execute new business by working within the local community to launch a new approach to HIV prevention
- Identify and lead community-related initiatives that augment territory-level sales in partnership with local sales teams
- Deliver branded and unbranded content targeting PrEP support professionals (HIV testers, PrEP navigators, etc.)
- Focus on delivering clinical information and the role of a new long-acting injectable in HIV prevention to underrepresented diverse populations, allied healthcare providers, PrEP decision makers and influencers
- Promote and deliver promotional activities for a new long-acting injectable in HIV prevention, engaging communities and organizations disproportionately affected by HIV transmission
- Engage with social workers, case managers, treatment educators, discharge planners, outreach workers, and other community-linked professionals in local organizations (AIDS Service Organizations, faith-based, ethnic organizations, etc.)
- Provide culturally relevant resources for discussing PrEP options to key customers
- Develop strong community networks and pathways to PrEP care to expand outreach to underrepresented populations
- Align and execute local market-specific business plans to help healthcare professionals scale prevention models
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Clinical Educators, Field Reimbursement Managers, Medical) to deliver an integrated product experience
- Maintain a portfolio-based selling mindset and ensure cohesive, integrated ViiV experience
- Deliver and adapt execution plans to achieve performance goals using KPIs and problem solving
- Conduct community needs assessment via stakeholder mapping and develop Community Engagement Plans; map pathways to PrEP
- Develop external relationships with key influential customers and thought leaders
Qualifications
- Required: BA/BS degree
- Required: 3+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience including specialty or HIV experience
- Required: 5+ years of experience in or with HIV/AIDS or public health community-based organizations
- Required: Ability to travel domestically as necessary, majority in-market
- Required: Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish bilingual
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Health Policy or Allied Health fields
- Strong connection to community needs related to HIV prevention; enthusiasm to promote long-acting HIV prevention injectable to key communities
- Experience developing strategic business plans with measurable objectives
- Experience navigating and influencing stakeholders; building community networks and expanding outreach to underrepresented populations
- Experience defining and executing market development strategies
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, business acumen, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
