Role Summary
Commercial Procurement Co-op at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, supporting the Procurement Organization in Raritan, NJ; Titusville, NJ; or Spring House, PA. Supports R&D or Commercial Procurement teams in strategic acquisition of goods and services for Innovative Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation and achievement of goals with a multinational approach in an international team
- Leading special projects across the team, including Category Strategy development and execution
- Supporting procurement activities across a variety of categories
- Managing supplier relationships and identifying supplier innovation opportunities
- Conducting competitive sourcing events, process improvement initiatives, and spending analyses
- Tracking key performance indicators and supporting functional initiatives
- Applying data-driven insights to inform sourcing decisions and supplier evaluations
- Exploring and recommending innovative digital tools to enhance procurement processes and supplier collaboration
Qualifications
- Actively enrolled in an accredited university for the duration of the co-op assignment, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. Completion of undergraduate freshman year is required
- Pursuing a degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field
- Demonstrated strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience with data analytics tools and techniques
- Technological curiosity and a proactive approach to exploring digital solutions in procurement
- Ability to work in a matrixed environment with rapidly changing priorities and tight deadlines
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Ability to balance multiple projects and initiatives while delivering results
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization features
- Must be a self-starter who works independently while contributing to team goals
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) and adhere to J&J’s Flex policy (minimum 3 days/week in office)
- Local travel may be required; candidates must provide their own transportation
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1-B) now or in the future
