Role Summary

Commercial Leadership Development Program Summer Internship at Takeda. A highly selective program that develops leaders through intensive on-the-job training and interaction with business leaders, with opportunities to influence strategic organizational initiatives and work on meaningful assignments in marketing and sales within the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

  • Act in the same capacity as a product manager, participating in all product management activities, business unit meetings, and planning sessions.
  • Work on projects across New Product Development, Product Marketing, and Managed Markets functions; complete a specific project by internship end in addition to routine activities.
  • Gain exposure to many of Takeda's business functions and contribute to high-impact strategic assignments.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of prior work experience
  • Must be enrolled in a U.S. accredited university for the semester before and after the internship
  • MBA student with at least one year of university studies prior to internship
  • Experience with MS Office applications
  • Experience in marketing, sales, and/or market research preferred
  • Pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience preferred but not required
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities; able to gather, evaluate and interpret data
  • Ability to coordinate with vendors and agencies; prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Interpersonal flexibility and ability to adapt to different personalities
  • Desire to learn about the commercial side of the pharmaceutical business
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
