The Commercial Diagnostics Manager for WAINUA will be a strategic and collaborative leader responsible for advancing diagnosis of hATTR-PN at key accounts. They will foster multidisciplinary customer collaboration across IDNs and key physician groups to enable early and accurate diagnosis of hATTR-PN, working collaboratively with internal teams (i.e., Marketing Innovation, IDN team and Medical) on approved patient identification and digital tools. Key customers include non-Treating Diagnostic MDโs, Genetic Counsellors and Non-Treating Multidisciplinary Team involved in testing process (nurse, patient navigators). IDN specialty pharmacy and C-Suite collaboration will be coordinated with Access Strategy and IDN National Account Directors and Clinical Account Directors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Leadership
- Develop and execute account-specific compliant diagnostic strategies for IDNs/health systems, ACOs and influential physician groups in appropriate matrix collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access teams.
- Partner with IDN/CAD teams to increase diagnosis.
- Identify and implement pathways to accelerate screening and diagnosis of hATTR-PN.
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management
- Lead high-level discussions with C-suite executives and key decision-makers to educate stakeholders on diagnostic protocols, early patient identification, and high-quality care pathways for hATTR-PN.
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with key customers including non-treating diagnostic MDโs, genetic counsellors, non-treating multidisciplinary team involved in testing process (nurse, patient navigators), and advocacy groups.
Driving Innovation and Value Communication
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address system-level barriers to testing and improve patient identification initiatives.
- Enhance diagnostic expertise to accelerate timely and accurate patient diagnosis, reducing misdiagnosis and minimizing disease impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Communicate cross functionally, in real time, to ensure cohesive alignment and execution across key accounts.
- Drive collaboration with diagnostic and laboratory stakeholders to enhance biomarker testing workflows and access.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure all activities and engagements are approved and adhere to AstraZenecaโs Code of Ethics and regulatory compliance guidelines.

Essential Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industries.
- At least 5 years of experience in sales management, market access, marketing, or clinical roles in a similar therapeutic area.
- Proven success in engaging IDNs/health systems or ACOs.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in multiple commercial functions, such as District Sales Manager, Brand/ Marketing and/or similar leadership experience.
- Expertise in rare diseases, biologics, and/or specialty products.
- Familiarity with cardiology, neurology, and/or biomarker diagnostics.
The annual base salary (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $160,000-$238,000. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
