Role: Government Affairs Co-Op supporting policy and advocacy efforts for United Therapeutics, focusing on legislation analysis, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities: research upcoming legislation affecting the company and patients, maintain legislation tracking, analyze and summarize legislative impacts, engage with government officials and stakeholders across the country, represent UT at conferences, and assist with policy development and reporting obligations. Requirements: current undergraduate junior/senior or graduate student in MPP, MPH, JD programs; strong research, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office; interest in health policy, life sciences, and biotech. Preferred: majors in Natural Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, History, Pre-Law, or Political Science; prior experience in government affairs or campaigns. High-Value: role involves domestic travel, primarily on-site at Silver Spring, MD; part of a biotech with a focus on rare diseases, organ transplant technologies, and regulatory engagement. WorkSetup: in-office full-time, with significant travel.
