Title: CMC Lead, Launch Product, Small Molecules

Location: Zurich, Switzerland (Primary); Cambridge, MA (Secondary)

About the role:
Provide strategic and operational leadership for CMC execution and lifecycle management of a launched small-molecule product. Serve as the primary interface between Pharmaceutical Sciences, Global Supply & Quality (GSQ), and manufacturing technology organizations. Lead a global team of experts for CMC content and prioritize lifecycle management and technology excellence to optimize resources.

Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional GSQ CMC team with Pharmaceutical Sciences to support product development.
- Develop robust life cycle management for key small-molecule assets.
- Represent CMC matters within Global Product Teams.
- Lead complex, multi-product initiatives.
- Own scientific/CMC content for a small-molecule (SM) asset, considering business impact.
- Resolve CMC issues across Small Molecules CMC and, when needed, with Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Partner across GSQ functions, internal/external manufacturing sites, and Pharmaceutical Sciences on robustness, technology excellence, and innovation (including digital/data analytics).
- Own key CMC decisions and provide recommendations impacting program outcomes.
- Influence GSQ and Product Teams to drive alignment and conflict resolution.
- Work with PMs to drive success of the CMC team.
- Accountable for development and life cycle management decisions; manage SMEs across functions.
- Align CMC development/LCM across MSAT (API/DP), Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Site Manufacturing Sciences; coordinate late-stage hand-off to commercial.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or life sciences.
- 10โ€“15+ yearsโ€™ experience in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.

Preferred skills/experience:
- Global experience in a matrixed organization.
- Experience defining strategy and roadmap for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Strategic enterprise thinking and reputation-building through innovation.
- Capability to analyze/solve complex problems and use project management tools.
- Scope includes manufacturing equipment/process innovation and digital, data-driven approaches.
