Role Summary

Clinical Sales Specialist (CSS) supports patients with rare diseases by educating healthcare providers about recurrent pericarditis, including approved treatment options, efficacy, safety, administration, and patient support services. The role involves executing a strategic sales plan to optimize customer engagement and enhance the patient experience within the Northern California region, including Sacramento.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to educate HCP customers and staff, aligned with commercial objectives, including prioritized customer target engagements, account management where applicable, business assessment and analysis, and resource utilization and impact
  • Educate targeted influence and decision makers, cardiologists, and rheumatologists to initiate the approved product for patients with recurrent pericarditis
  • Provide comprehensive education on Kiniksa One Connect Patient Services and support program
  • Facilitate short-term and future opportunities aligned with mission, strategy, and objectives through multiple venues (virtual and in-person), one-on-one interactions, small group discussions, peer-to-peer programs, and presentations with external stakeholders
  • Achieve quarterly and yearly commercial goals, delivering on tactical resource execution and meeting or exceeding sales performance
  • Ensure cross-functional efficiencies and constructive collaboration with field sales partner teams
  • Serve as an external representative for HCP stakeholders, establishing oneself as a reliable, trusted resource for company and product information
  • Act in a compliant manner with integrity aligned with values, guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain expenses within assigned budget parameters
  • Document field activities accurately and in a timely fashion

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of biopharmaceutical sales experience; Rare disease, specialty therapeutic experience, and/or cardiology experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience in promoting injectable or reconstitution injectable products preferred
  • Track record of sales success and high motivation to achieve results
  • Strategic account management experience
  • Experience with Specialty Pharmacy, HUB services, and Patient Support programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliant and ethical business practices
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive, passion, and focus towards contributing to organizational goals
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively and efficiently
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%–80% of the time (primarily in assigned territory) and hold a valid driver’s license
  • Salary commensurate with experience
