Role Summary
Clinical Sales Specialist (CSS) focuses on educating healthcare providers about recurrent pericarditis, ensuring understanding of approved treatment options, and supporting patient services within a field-based Western Michigan territory, including the Upper Peninsula.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to educate HCP customers and staff, aligned with commercial objectives, including prioritized engagements, account management where applicable, business assessment and analysis, and resource utilization and impact
- Educate cardiologists and rheumatologists to initiate the approved product for patients with recurrent pericarditis
- Provide comprehensive education on Kiniksa One Connect Patient Services and support program
- Facilitate opportunities aligned with mission and objectives through virtual and in-person engagements, one-on-one interactions, small group discussions, peer-to-peer programs, and external presentations
- Achieve quarterly and yearly commercial goals to deliver on resource execution and sales performance
- Ensure cross-functional efficiencies and collaboration with field sales partner teams
- Serve as an external representative for HCP stakeholders, providing reliable information about company and products
- Act in a compliant manner with integrity aligned with values, guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Maintain expenses within assigned budget parameters
- Document field activities accurately and timely
Qualifications
- 5+ years of biopharmaceutical sales experience; rare disease, specialty therapy, and/or cardiology experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience promoting injectable or reconstitution injectable products preferred
- Track record of sales success and motivation to achieve results
- Strategic account management experience
- Experience with Specialty Pharmacy, HUB services, and Patient Support programs
- Knowledge of compliant and ethical business practices
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Drive, passion, and focus to contribute to the company and patient goals
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Willingness to travel up to 75%–80% and a valid driver’s license
