Role Summary

Clinical Research Nurse / Open to RN's, LPN's, or Paramedics in Madison, WI (On-Site). This is a full-time, office/clinic-based role within a leading Clinical Research Organization's Early Phase units, focusing on direct participant interaction, protocol reading, and execution of clinical research procedures in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings
  • Preparation and accurate recording of ECGs/Holters
  • Collection and processing of biological samples as specified in the protocol and ensure proper distribution of those samples
  • Monitor meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants
  • Assist in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment
  • Assist with screening procedures as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe and efficient working and study environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA or CNA certification, preferred
  • 0 – 1 year of related experience
  • Paramedics must be certified in the state of Wisconsin

Skills

  • Clinical judgment and ability to provide a high standard of care in clinical research
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with strict protocol adherence
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Technology proficiency for data entry into electronic systems

Education

  • None specified beyond the listed certifications; applicable certifications welcomed
