Role Summary
Clinical Research Nurse / Open to RN's, LPN's, or Paramedics in Madison, WI (On-Site). This is a full-time, office/clinic-based role within a leading Clinical Research Organization's Early Phase units, focusing on direct participant interaction, protocol reading, and execution of clinical research procedures in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings
- Preparation and accurate recording of ECGs/Holters
- Collection and processing of biological samples as specified in the protocol and ensure proper distribution of those samples
- Monitor meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants
- Assist in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment
- Assist with screening procedures as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe and efficient working and study environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- EMT, Phlebotomy, CMA or CNA certification, preferred
- 0 – 1 year of related experience
- Paramedics must be certified in the state of Wisconsin
Skills
- Clinical judgment and ability to provide a high standard of care in clinical research
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with strict protocol adherence
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Technology proficiency for data entry into electronic systems
Education
- None specified beyond the listed certifications; applicable certifications welcomed
