Role Summary
Clinical Research Nurse, Madison, WI (On-Site) – full-time, office/clinic-based role in Madison, WI with variable shifts. Work with healthy volunteers in Phase 1 trials, interacting directly with participants and contributing to establishing safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of investigational drugs.
Responsibilities
- Utilize skills, knowledge, and clinical judgement to provide a high standard of care in clinical research
- Ensure the dignity, health, safety, and welfare of participants is the highest priority
- Maintain current emergency certifications and follow company emergency policies and procedures
- Respond to emergency situations based on nursing standards
- Observe participant well-being and potential adverse events; document and act as needed
- Obtain informed consent and educate participants about study procedures
- Administer investigational compounds (including parenteral) per protocol and regulations
- Perform study-related activities such as cannulation, telemetry, Holters, vital signs, ECGs, and venipuncture
- Undertake any other duties as required
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or BS degree in nursing with current licensure in the applicable state
- CPR/AED certified
- ACLS-certified preferred upon entry; ACLS may be gained in role if not yet certified
- Additional experience may be substituted for education requirements
Skills
- Clinical assessment and nursing judgment in the context of clinical trials
- Strong communication and ability to obtain informed consent
- Proficiency with data collection in electronic environments
Education

- 0-1 year of related experience (additional experience may be substituted for education requirements)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with strict adherence to study protocols
