Role Summary
Clinical Integrated Business Operations Leader (IBOL)-Global Budget Manager- Vaccines. Location: Swiftwater, PA. The IBOL leads data-driven financial and resource analyses for Clinical Development, mentoring team members and developing fit-for-purpose tools to support governance and decision-making for vaccine projects.
Responsibilities
- Management of Data, including Cost Estimation for Clinical Trials
- Maintain assigned business office data end-to-end, related to resources and financial budget, from generation of original estimate to final declaration, focusing on costs.
- Generate cost estimates for Clinical trials using operational experience, scientific knowledge in vaccines/immunology/infectious disease, Grant Plan and internal tools (Excel, PowerBI), and rigorous standards.
- Edit, QC, and maintain cost data in tools (RDPM/Planisware and OneCASA).
- Analyze data holistically, understanding impact on the portfolio of vaccine projects, GCD, and R&D; conduct reviews with stakeholders; infuse technical, data, and clinical business expertise; manage moderately non-standard analyses and simulations.
- Tool Development and Digital Mindset
- Apply modern, fit-for-purpose tools (Advanced Excel, PowerQuery, PowerBI, Tableau) to data; develop new tools.
- Transform planning data from RDPM (Planisware), OneCASA, and other sources into outputs that are accurate, fit for purpose, user-friendly, and quickly refreshable.
- Support tools with materials, training, continuous improvement, and stakeholder feedback implementation.
- Leadership
- Independent leadership and coordination of assigned Business Office processes; drive process aspects, rolling forecast reviews, data consolidation, and financial preparations for projects/platforms.
- Support or lead Business Office team members and stakeholders; ensure quality and alignment with stakeholders; participate in analysis of results and implement improvements.
- Mentorship and Management
- Mentor assigned colleagues; oversee non-permanent resources (contractors, FSP); contribute to transversal teams and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Data modeling and reports/visualization development; proficiency in Excel, Power Query, and Power BI or Tableau.
- Clinical Trial operational experience; experience in conducting clinical trials (vaccines preferred); >2 years preferred.
- Financial analyses, compilation, analysis, and presentation of financial data.
- Some level of scientific background preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant Biological science, computer science, or Finance, with appropriate experience.
