Role: Lead the clinical development strategy and organizational effectiveness for Novartis' Neuroscience portfolio, overseeing global clinical and medical teams supporting neuroscience programs. Responsibilities: establish and execute long-term disease area strategies, drive clinical excellence across Phases I-IV, oversee resource planning, mentor senior clinical leaders, and ensure integration of scientific, regulatory, and commercial considerations. Represent clinical functions in governance, influence strategic decisions, and foster relationships with external stakeholders such as investigators, regulators, and patient groups. Requirements: MD or equivalent with board certification preferred; at least 10 years of experience in global clinical drug development, with deep expertise in neuroscience, biomarkers, trial methodology, and regulatory interactions. Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and experience across all clinical phases. Preferred: postgraduate clinical specialty in neurology, psychiatry, or neuroscience; recognized specialist qualifications. High-Value: neuroscience (neuropsychiatric conditions), Phases I-IV, regulatory engagement, biomarker and technology integration, global leadership, stakeholder influence, and strategic portfolio management.
