About The Role
The Clinical Account Executive (CAE) will report into the Commercial—Rare Disease Team. Drive physician and patient identification, market development, and disease/brand awareness for Cortrophin Gel in the assigned territory (includes, but is not limited to, Tucson, AZ and surrounding area). Maintain deep knowledge of targeted disease states and product labeling; achieve territory sales targets and business objectives via account/customer-specific strategies. Cold calling on all targeted specialties is required.
Responsibilities
- Drive demand through clinical selling and education to referring and treating HCPs on Cortrophin Gel.
- Build and execute territory and account-specific plans to drive physician/patient identification, market development, and brand awareness in Rheumatology, Nephrology, and Neurology; continuously assess sales opportunities.
- Prioritize/manage resources to optimize access and development of high-potential accounts.
- Build individual account plans for key accounts and physicians to maximize sales results.
- Build/maintain physician relationships using pre-call planning, tailored call plans, and post-call analysis.
- Collaborate with Cortrophin brand team and coordinate with MSLs, Market Access, patient HUB, and internal stakeholders to ensure patient access and logistics.
- Partner externally with key accounts/physicians to drive patient identification; develop strategies to retain customers.
- Demonstrate integrity and compliance; other duties as assigned.
Skills / Competencies (Preferred/Plus)
- Product launch experience (plus), including knowledge of government/commercial payers.
- Experience working with in-house patient support services (required).
- Familiarity with legal/regulatory pharmaceutical requirements.
- Experience leading territory-level business planning.
- Understanding of patient services and specialty channel distribution (preferred).
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business or science preferred.
- Minimum 5 years success in rare disease or specialty pharmaceutical sales.
- Experience in Rheumatology, Nephrology, Neurology strongly preferred.
- Work evenings/weekends as needed for physician/patient events (in person/virtual).
- Ability to manage a multi-state territory (as geography requires).
- Driver’s license required; overnight travel 40%–60% (depending on territory).

Compensation
- Base salary range: $160,000–$200,000; eligible for short- and long-term incentive program.
