About The Role
The Clinical Account Executive (CAE) will report into the Commercial- Rare Disease Team. Drive physician and patient identification, market development, and disease/brand awareness for Cortrophin Gel in the assigned territory (including Fresno, CA and surrounding central California).
Responsibilities
- Drive demand through clinical selling and education to referring and treating HCPs on Cortrophin Gel.
- Build and execute territory strategy and account-specific plans to drive physician/patient identification, market development, and brand awareness in Rheumatology, Nephrology, and Neurology; continually assess sales opportunities.
- Prioritize and manage resources, activities, and time to develop high-potential accounts.
- Create individual account plans for key accounts/physicians; maximize sales results.
- Build and maintain physician relationships using pre-call planning, customized call plans, and post-call analysis.
- Collaborate with Cortrophin brand team and internal stakeholders (e.g., MSLs, Market Access, patient HUB) to support access and logistics.
- Partner externally with key accounts/physicians to drive patient identification; retain customers via territory strategy.

- Account management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving.
- Flexibility/adaptability in a commercial start-up environment.
- Cold calling on all targeted specialties required.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree in business/science preferred.
- 5+ years successful rare disease or specialty pharmaceutical sales.
- Rheumatology/Nephrology/Neurology experience strongly preferred.
- Product launch experience (plus); knowledge of government/commercial payers (plus).
- Experience with in-house patient support services required.
- Familiarity with legal/regulatory pharmaceutical requirements.
- Territory-level business planning experience.
- Work evenings/weekends as needed; multi-state territory management ability (as applicable).
- Driverβs license required; overnight travel 40β60%.
Compensation / Benefits
- Base salary range: $160,000β$200,000; plus short- and long-term incentive eligibility.
