Role: Classification Specialist within the Customs and International Trade (CIT) function, responsible for ensuring accurate product classifications for chemicals, biologics, drugs, and supplies. The primary objectives include maintaining correct classifications (HTS, ECN/ECCN, Controlled Substance Schedules) and supporting trade compliance efforts across global systems such as SAP GTS and One Source. Responsibilities encompass researching classification rulings, managing classification data, providing guidance on tariff provisions, and supporting trade audits. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (scientific background preferred), at least 2 years of relevant experience, familiarity with global trade management systems, and ideally tariff classification expertise. Preferred skills include understanding chemical and biological product attributes, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with international trade compliance. High-Value: Focus on chemical and biological products, trade classification across global markets, compliance with customs regulations, and use of trade management platforms. Work setup: Hybrid, with no travel required.
