Pay Range: $25.60 - $35.20
Position Summary
Responsible for processing and formulation of controls, calibrators, working solutions, and intermediates according to approved standard operating procedures. Responsible for manufacturing quality products on schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare products using approved procedures and keep detailed, accurate records
- Perform in-process analysis and adjust analytes to bring into specification
- Analyze products, stock solutions, and raw materials using automated and manual instrumentation
- Verify analysis instrumentation/procedures operate correctly; perform/verify maintenance before use
- Measure quantities volumetrically and gravimetrically using knowledge of chemical/biochemical properties and handling procedures
- Continually evaluate/create work instructions, QCRs, SOPs and modify through formal change process
- Perform processing steps: centrifugation, diafiltration, in-process filtration, column separation
- Perform final release testing
- Perform aseptic procedures: aliquoting, filtration, microbial plating
- Perform assay testing for Value Assignment as required
- Assist with increasing efficiency/reducing costs
- Assist with lab/equipment maintenance and cleanliness
- Maintain strong attention to detail and clear, accurate records
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Initiative and ability to multitask
- Interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to work with personnel of all levels
- GMP and GLP environment; knowledge of QSR and ISO
- Familiarity with biohazardous material handling and chemical safety procedures
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Science, or related field preferred
- 0–2 years work experience in In Vitro diagnostics, medical device, pharmaceutical, or related industry required
