Key responsibilities:
- Perform pharmaceutical testing including HPLC, GC, TLC, UV, dissolution, and IR spectroscopy.
- Understand and perform testing per all pertinent SOPs and lab practices.
- Critically evaluate and audit data.
- Write technical analytical reports and procedures.
- Perform routine testing with a senior-level mentor analyst.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (or equivalent) and 0β2 years of experience (combination of experience/education considered).
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical industry practice, and health authority regulations/guidance.
- Strong analytical laboratory skills; strong communication and reading skills.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Ability to operate computer-based data acquisition systems for chromatography.
- Ability to multi-task across multiple projects.
- Ability to read and interpret complex business/technical documents; write comprehensive reports and detailed correspondence.
- Ability to work with groups across departments and present to a group.
- Ability to perform computations (percentages, ratios, rates).
- Problem-solving ability using semi-standardized solutions and prescribed/detailed procedures.
- Ability to meet physical demands (regular lab movement; possible bending/kneeling/climbing; light lifting).
- Normal laboratory exposure to chemicals/solvents/fumes/gases; may work with poor ventilation/odors.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
