Role Summary

The CFC (Client-Facing Colleagues) Product Owner is a new role within the CFC Product team reporting to the CFC Business Product Lead within the Global Excellence & Enablement organization in the Chief Marketing Office (CMO). This high-visibility role owns the end-to-end success of our CFC engagement platform supporting pharmaceutical field representatives globally, across all brands. The role collaborates with stakeholders to identify technology enhancements that enable Pfizer’s business objectives and improve the CFC experience, and partners with effectiveness and digital technology teams to plan, build, deploy, and measure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and continuously evolve a multi-year engagement roadmap for CFC technology enhancements, balancing strategic vision with operational feasibility.
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with commercial and technology teams to align on strategic objectives, influence technology direction, and ensure shared accountability for outcomes.
  • Serve as the voice of the business by comprehending the CFC experience; oversee personas, user stories, and journey maps to inform product strategy and design.
  • Oversee agile ceremonies and governance to ensure backlog prioritization reflects strategic goals; guide cross-functional teams through iterative delivery cycles to accelerate time-to-value.
  • Partner with UX/Design, Engineering, and Operations to drive end-to-end delivery of new capabilities—from ideation through deployment—ensuring seamless execution and measurable impact.
  • Establish and maintain robust metrics to evaluate the business impact of enhancements; use insights to inform future investment decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a strong product mindset across teams; reinforce best practices, roles, and responsibilities to foster a high-performing, customer-centric culture.
  • Ensure consistent and transparent communication of product strategy, progress, and outcomes across all levels of the organization.
  • Financial stewardship: Manage and track the team’s budget.
  • Maintain knowledge of Life Sciences CFC CRM-related offerings, drive build/buy decisions and partner to evaluate technology; manage vendor relationships to ensure technologies evolve with Pfizer’s needs.
  • Operate with a mindset of standardization, consolidation and global scalability across the CFC technology tooling universe.
  • Support privacy, digital, legal, regulatory and compliance teams in setting and deploying data standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Required: BA; MBA or equivalent Master’s-level education preferred.
  • Required: Extensive experience in product management, product owner, or related product roles.
  • Required: Extensive experience in the Life Sciences industry in areas closely related to SFA/CRM tooling, ideally with a top 10 pharma company.
  • Required: Understanding of product philosophies, team structure, roles and responsibilities.
  • Required: Experience with agile ways of working and all stages of the product development lifecycle from idea to delivery.
  • Required: Experience evaluating product decisions strategically and making prioritization tradeoffs, using large datasets to make data-driven product decisions with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Required: Experience leading complex, large-scale business projects, identifying risks and removing roadblocks to enable delivery; excellent stakeholder management in a matrixed environment.
  • Required: Self-motivation with ability to execute with speed and high quality; strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Required: Demonstrated alignment with values (Courage, Excellence, Equity, Joy); strong communication, writing, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Required: Ability to thrive under pressure, take accountability and meet deadlines; discretion with confidential information; flexibility to work across global time zones.
  • Preferred: Experience at a top 20 pharmaceutical company in commercial/sales/field technology; experience transforming to a product operating model; experience with Salesforce, Veeva and life sciences technologies; AI solutions; KAM selling process; targeting/segmentation solutions; prior pharmaceutical sales experience; broad knowledge of pharma and healthcare; experience with healthcare data at scale.
