General Summary:
- The Center Account Manager (CAM) will be responsible for achieving and maximizing territory sales goals by developing a strategic business plan, communicating disease and product knowledge to healthcare professional customers (HCPs), and utilizing effective selling strategies.
- Works cross-functionally within sales/marketing and compliantly across the organization (Managed Markets, Specialty Pharmacy, Patient Services, Medical, HR, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote safe and effective use of Vertex products per label and company training/policies.
- Provide relevant disease state and on-label product information.
- Interact with Cystic Fibrosis stakeholders in assigned geography.
- Deliver territory performance and contribute to area/national team performance.
- Ensure appropriate, targeted resource allocation with a focus on compliance.
- Stay current on the Cystic Fibrosis environment (disease, key accounts, reimbursement, barriers to care).
- Manage tactical business plan, including customer promotional activities; budget and travel expenses.
- Collaborate across functions to achieve goals.
- Attend meetings and take on projects as requested by management.
- Exercise sound judgment and adhere to regulatory/compliance guidelines and company policies.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Valid driverโ€™s license (in good standing); travel up to 50% (evenings/weekends as needed).
- Ability to understand/communicate complex clinical disease/products.
- Consultative/clinical sales approach; strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
- Takes initiative; continuous learning.
- Demonstrate Vertex CAM core competencies (Clinical Acumen, Selling Skills, Business Acumen, Customer Relationships).
- Mastery of disease/clinical data, core sales competencies, CF Center business, payer landscape, and customer relationships.
- Business integrity and ethical behavior; documented sales success.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree.
- Typically 5 years of pharmaceutical field sales experience and experience in Cystic Fibrosis, rare disease, or other biotech/specialty markets (or equivalent combination).

Pay Range:
- $122,400 - $183,600
