Role Summary
CDnA - Global Customer Analytics Director, Obesity. The role is responsible for driving customer insights that shape strategy and key decisions for the obesity pipeline. Leads a team that generates insights by integrating multiple sources, including internal knowledge, strategic secondary analytics, and primary market research. Acts as a collaborative business partner to align business questions with insight generation approaches and influence franchise/product strategy, brand building, and governance decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams integrating insights from a variety of sources (e.g., market research, competitive intelligence, secondary data, advisory boards) to address business needs
- Lead ad hoc strategic secondary analytics to inform strategic decisions
- Clearly communicate insights and recommendations to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership, and becoming a “devil’s advocate” when needed
- Partner with commercial leadership and cross-functional partners to define and prioritize objectives, budget and work plans to meet evolving business needs
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with best-in-class vendors and look for opportunities to innovate and advance capabilities
- Manage and develop direct reports, while individually leading select projects when needed
- Ensure that both routine and ad-hoc projects are in compliance with all Amgen SOPs and meet service-level expectations for quality, timeliness, and budget
Qualifications
- Required: Basic Qualifications — Doctorate degree and 4 years of market research, analytics, competitive intelligence, sales and/or marketing operations experience
- Required: Basic Qualifications — Or Master’s degree and 8 years of market research, analytics, competitive intelligence, sales and/or marketing operations experience
- Required: Basic Qualifications — Or Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of market research, analytics, competitive intelligence, sales and/or marketing operations experience
- Required: In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, at least 4 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources
- Preferred: Demonstrated exceptional business acumen, strategic / critical thinking skills, and ability to influence key decisions
- Preferred: Ability to independently extract, analyze, treat, and consolidate data from sources in formats with rigor and high level of accuracy and translate into actionable recommendations
- Preferred: Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences, including senior management
- Preferred: Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively in team-based, cross-functional environments
- Preferred: Ability to balance a multitude of stakeholders and projects in parallel
- Preferred: Strong knowledge of drug development, commercialization and the broader healthcare industry (patients, HCPs, payers)
- Preferred: Experience with biopharmaceutical industry datasets and databases

- Flexible Commuter role to Thousand Oaks, US Headquarter site. You will work on-site a minimum of 3 days a week.
